Dr. Mukesh Aghi is the President of the U.S.-India Business Council.

With over 27 years of experience across diverse industries and geographies, Dr. Aghi has a proven track record of leading various international business giants. His last assignment was as Chief Executive and Member of the Board at L&T Infotech. Earlier he served at Steria, Inc. - India, as its’ CEO, Asia-Pacific and Global Executive Sales Director. He brings with him unique market knowledge and access in Europe and extensive experience in several verticals in the Services industry. He was responsible for Steria Inc. – India’s top 50 global accounts with revenues exceeding $ 1.5 billion and was instrumental in the successful merger with Xansa, creating a multi-billion dollar technology services business. In his previous roles, Dr. Aghi has associated with Universitas 21 Global (world's largest consortium of research-led universities and a global leader in providing post-graduate online education); IBM Corporation where he was the President of IBM India; Ariba Inc.; JD Edwards & Co. to name a few. His expertise spans across management of global consumer and corporate strategies; building and maintaining talents across geographies; profitable turnaround of operations through effective business strategies; management of global joint ventures and alliances and building strong leadership teams.

Dr. Aghi holds an advanced Management Diploma from Harvard Business School, and a Ph.D. in International Relations from Claremont Graduate University in California. An MBA in International Marketing from Andrews University, Michigan, Dr. Aghi has also completed his BA in Business Administration from the Middle East College, Beirut, Lebanon. Fluent in many international languages, Dr. Aghi was recognized by Esquire magazine as a Global Leader and has won many awards including the J. R. D. Tata Leadership award. A major marathon and mountaineering enthusiast, Dr. Aghi has competed in over 22 international marathons and has climbed some of the highest peaks both in North America and Europe.

Jai Shekhawat is the Founder and CEO of Fieldglass, an SAP company. Under his leadership, the Fieldglass platform has grown globally with users in 100+ countries and 18 languages. He was Ernst & Young's 2012 Midwest "Entrepreneur of the Year” as well as the 2012 recipient of the Peter Yessne Staffing Innovator Award, recognized for pioneering the Vendor Management Software (VMS) space. Fieldglass was also recognized as the Illinois Venture Capital Association's 2014 Private Equity Portfolio Company of the Year.

 

He is a former strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company where he served clients in areas of corporate strategy, technology and cross-border alliances. He is also a former senior executive at Syntel, a software services firm in Michigan and the co-founder of Quinnox, an application outsourcing firm in Naperville, Illinois.

 

Jai has held various civic and board positions including serving on the Mayor's Council of Technology Advisors (MCTA) for the City of Chicago, the Membership Committee of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Board of TiE Midwest and the Board of Metrosquash. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Field Museum of Chicago, is a board member for 1871 (Chicago’s entrepreneurial hub for digital startups) and Fleet Complete in Toronto, and is a founding member of the Firestarter Fund, which mentors and invests in Chicago startups.

 

Jai holds an MBA with specializations in finance and strategy from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, and a bachelor's degree in management science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India.

After completion of his undergraduate studies he matriculated at the Medical college of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. There he excelled in medicine and graduated with an M.D. degree at the top of his class with the prestigious AOA honor society. He then completed two years in General Surgery, including his internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He subsequently completed Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the same institution.

He was board certified in the field in 2005 by the American Board of Otolaryngology, an accredited board by the ABMS (American Board of Medical Specialties). He then pursued additional training for two years in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his plastic and reconstructive training in 2006.

He was board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, an accredited board by ABMS (American Board of Medical Specialties) in 2007. He served as a Staff Surgeon in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for the subsequent 4 years. Currently, he continually strives to establish a center of plastic surgery excellence in South Florida
